She is now considered by the movie press as the “princess of horror films,” and why not. Last Wednesday, Regal Entertainment’s Guni Guni opened in theaters. And guess who is starring in it? Lovi Poe, no less.
The actress is paired with new Kapuso star Benjamin Alves. Also in important roles are Empress (Schuck), Gina Alajar, and Jaime Fabregas.
There is also a young actor that many of those who had seen the movie say has made a good impression. Gerald Pesigan is his name and one critic says he is a very good child actor.
Guni Guni is about Mylene (Lovi Poe) a student of medicine. She lives a very secretive life, and not even her boyfriend, Paolo (Benjamin Alves), knows her well.
Mylene, when asked to perform an abortion for a fee, feels unsure whether shed be doing the right thing. Yet, she needs the money.
That is how her troubles start. She is tormented and has nightmares that eventually eats her consciousness.
The boarders die and when Joanna (Empress) the resident psychic and Mylene’s best friend senses danger upon her, she decides to get to the bottom of the mystery.
I don’t want to spoil your viewing, just buy a ticket and have a day in the theater screaming and cringing in fear.
